Northwestern says that it is recommended to submit 2 SAT subject test scores. On math I received 800, but on chem I got 660. Should I submit my chem score?

660 is on the lower side. Am assuming that you are applying to either the sciences or engineering.

NU says they are recommended, but not required, unless you are trying to get into one of their specialty programs.

My son got in ED with no SAT IIs. He called Admissions, and was told that the SAt IIs should be taken if you want to make up for a poor grade in a subject area. So, if you received a 5 on the AP Chem Test and an A grade in AP Chem, then no, don’t send the score.

It depends on the program. Some programs at NU require SAT2. See below:

Northwestern University [Math Level 2; Chemistry; and Physics required of
applicants to Integrated Science Program; Math Level 2 and Chemistry required of applicants to Honors Program in Medical Education; two recommended for all other applicants]
