HELP: Should I Consider University of Georgia???

Pennylane- Yup, that’s exactly why I’m there. That, and Zell Miller (which is the same thing as HOPE, except more difficult to get and worth more money) completely takes care of tuition, which wouldn’t happen if I went to a private school in Georgia. It would cover about four thousand dollars a year, I think, which is still pretty good, but when you think about total costs, it really isn’t that much.

As a freshman, you could get merit at a lot of colleges, but as a transfer, I’m really not sure. You should contact the Agnes Scott, Davidson, (…etc…) transfer admission rep and see what they tell you about whether you’d be eligible for some financial or merit aid.
I’m afraid that if you leave GSU other public universities wouldn’t consider you “in state” and I don’t think UGA is so much better than UT Knoxville to justify paying OOS fees. So your best bet would be to look for various private colleges that may be interested in your stats (both HS and college).

Having tuition covered is something to consider highly, because you would be paying much more to attend another school. I don’t think it is worth leaving for another public college and paying tuition, especially OOS fees. You are actually in a good place- not unhappy, tuition covered, and doing well.

If you are able to keep in state status, and the Zell Miller, then the UGA honors college might be something to consider.
