i'm a prospective applying to g-town and applied to SFS but now i'm wondering if maybe i should have applied to the college instead. i'm hoping to go into environmental policy on an international level. i applied to SFS because i really like the "science, tech., and international affairs" major b/c it really relates to my interests, and i was afraid if i went into the college i couldn't switch to SFS. but now i realize that you can switch b/w schools... i'm not fluent in spanish yet and haven't done a lot of traveling and i haven't really had a chance for much hands on experience with environmental issues (my projected major), so i'm worried i won't be a strong candidate for SFS because it seems that everyone who applies to SFS is really well-versed in international issues and knows tons of languages and is incredible. is SFS's pool of applicants more accomplished....? if i don't do well on my spanish SATII will that probably keep me from getting into the SFS?? idk what to do....is it too late to call and switch the school i applied to? i mean, i might have a better chance at the college itself. what do you guys think? (lol, i know it's ridiculous but now i'm freakin out)

Technically, the acceptance rate is like 2% higher at SFS than the college.

But now you got me freaking out too, b/c i applied and i'm not fluent in other languages and i only got 610 (d_amn) on the SAT2

Just relax, hopefully we'll both get in!

Yeah, I don't have much experience with traveling or anything, I had an exchange to Spain last summer for a month but that's it. My family has never traveled internationally, even Canada, and even though I am almost conversationally fluent in Spanish, I still got a 680 and then a 730 on the Spanish sat--that thing's a b-itch!!! Don't worry about it...as long as you show an interest in a future in international relations, it really shouldn't matter what travel and language opportunities have been available to you.
