So I sent in my application to The University of Tennessee on October 29th. The early deadline was November 1st. I checked today and realized I never sent in my transcript!!! Am I screwed or will they take the transcript late if the application is in? I filed to have my transcript sent in 30 minutes ago. Could take 3-5 days. I am trying to get a scholarship so I am wondering If I have royally screwed my chances? I would appreciate any help or clarifications greatly. Thanks!
You will need to contact UTenn for the answer. Many colleges with Nov 1 priority or early action dates require the application to be filed by Nov 1 but supporting materials such as a transcript can arrive later; however, some insist that all required items be in their hands by Nov 1. UTenn does not say, one way or the other, on its site whether it allows supporting materials to come in after the deadline. Such silence on the issue is often an indication the college does accept materials after Nov 1, but you must get the definitive answer from UTenn.
Usually if it is not something you can control it is OK to be late. so just send it as soon as you can. You have no choice anyway at this point. Worst case they will put you in the regular admission pile but chances are it should be OK
