<p>I just did 1 year of CCC and got a 3.86 and 3.79 :) </p>
<p>So I am transferring to either SJSU or SFSU!! What will happen to my GPA of 2.3? will it reset?</p>
<p>if i do really well in college, will i still get honors or will my UC GPA haunt me!! </p>
<p>I do know that for grad school they look for all GPA's, how about for work?? I am an engineering major and want to work in NASA eventually haha :P !</p>
<p>Before applying to a CSU you need to figure out and fix the things that went wrong for you at UCSD. Getting a 3.8 GPA at a CCC is not that difficult but the Engineering program at a CSU like SJSU is going to use the same textbooks, teach the same material and be just as rigorous as your program at UCSD was. The major difference between the two would be that UCSD will have a substantially higher percentatge of its students graduate than SJSU will since admission criteria are different and UCSD generally starts with more talented students than SJSU does.</p>
<p>As for the GPA issue, I am pretty sure when you transfer from a CCC to a UC or CSU the CCC GPA is not calculated into the GPA for your new university but I am not so sure how a four year school will treat grades earned at another four year institution.</p>
