What I am wondering is what classes do I need to take so I can sign my TAG next year and transfer in 2 years. Is it only the classes on that page or are there additional courses not on that page?

Another question I have related to TAG is the GPA requirement comparable to admitted GPA?
For example, the TAG requirement for the college of engineering at UCD is 3.3, so if I submit my TAG to UCI, and just apply normally to UCD with a 3.3, would that give me a good chance of getting accepted?

You will need to complete your IGETC requirement by the end of spring prior to transfer, and no, summer after your last spring at a CC does not count. UC’s do not really care if you have already completed all of your prerequisites as long as you will have taken the majority of them before you transfer. Of course, schools like UCB, UCLA, and UCSD may care more about prerequisites. It also depends on the major you choose, so if computer engineering is impacted at UCI, you’ll need to complete more required courses as well as maintain an above average GPA to have a great shot.

I read somewhere that IGETC was not recommended for engineering majors?

Also, I thought if I get a 3.2 and sign TAG i am guaranteed a spot? Why would I need an above average GPA for computer engineering at UCI? Not saying that I won’t be trying, but I am trying to understand your post

After figuring out what classes you need to take it would be a good idea
to make an appointment with a xfer counselor at your school to double-check your plan will work.

It would give you a 41% chance of admission; you’ll need to decide if that is good or not. You can create all kinds of tables with data sliced and diced over lots of variables at [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/default.aspx) – use the tab at the top to create custom tables.

Indeed, engineering majors are recommended to take the breadth route, but it’s really up to you. Sorry, that was my typo. I meant to say UCD rather than UCI.
