hi,

university of washington or nyu?

i got into the liberal studies program for college of arts & science but i was to:
-pursue pre-med track (goal: MD in psychiatry one day)
-maybe major in music/music performance also
-minor in chinese & arabic

i know the liberal studies is really constraining. but nyu has been my dream and nyc makes me feel really alive. i'm extremelyyy torn.

I’m going into LSP at NYU. Personally, I’ve heard it’s really constricting, too, but I think the end result is worth it. Also, LSP is PERFECT for people who are “undecided.” You know you want to go pre-med, but you might want some non-med related minors or other concentrations. Therefore, NYU is perfect for you. Also, many people don’t stay in LSP for all 4 semesters. If you have AP credit or other college credit, it’s very, very possible to get out in 2 or 3 semesters. So, as a sophomore, you CAN get into CAS if you try hard enough. I don’t think it’s a big deal to be in LSP. You can always join clubs or do other activities related to your interests. Good luck with your decision, and I hope you choose NYU!
