Nova's College of Commerce & Finance (now renamed College of Business) is better. On the list of top 20 business schools, it's #19.

Okay so here's the link so you can see for yourself: http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/06rankings/

I am partial to Nova because I went there. The building you would be taking classes is (Bartley) is gorgeous, new and state-of-the art.

I was amazed when I looked over the placement statistics for Villanova Business School and they placed 7 Analysts at Merrill Lynch and 3 at Goldman. That is quite a feat for a school not considered "Target" i.e. Ivy, Top LAC

i would definitely go to BC.

BC's campus and atmosphere is amazing. and it defintiely is a more prestigious and competitive school. most people haven't even heard of villanova. it is only known in the northeast.

the 10 people that got analyst positions on wall street really isn't much to boast about.

You're right it is not something to boast about just putting it out there. For a school that doesnt receive much recognition and isn't "well known" getting a #19 ranking for the Undergrad business school is pretty solid. It's obviously no Wharton or Stern. Only recognized in the NE...well aren't most if not all Bulge Brackets located in NYC? I don't want to start an argument and honestly BC has traditionally been recognized nationally as a top school but Villanova isn't THAT much behind.

Villanova isn't too far behind but it is behind to the point where there is a distinct difference in the level of national recognition, opportunities and ranking though. BC is a better overall school hands down.

I had to choose between BC's Business School and Nova's Business school. I live in MA and my parents are BC alums. I grew up going to all BC football, hockey and basketball games and always thought I would go there. But when it came time to decide, I visited both schools, with academics and living environment in mind. The facilities for the business school at BC did not even compare to the brand new facilities at Nova. BC is nationally known, but its not for the business school. Nova is a school on the rise. The business school is in the top 20 in the country (BC is not). When it comes to job placement, Nova has better statistics in regards to the finance world (my major). They place many more students to Wall Street then BC. As for the professors, I had the chance to meet profs. from both schools before choosing. At BC the profs. seemed to be full of themselves and their status, while at Nova they were friendly and passionate. While at BC one professor even went as far as saying all of his students were "stupid morons". These factors made my decision easier. I choose Nova at it was the best choice of my life. The profs. are awesome and the new dean of the business school is going to put it in the elite bracket in the country very very soon. Watch and see!! I love everything about the school, NOVA ROCKS. By the way, our basketball team is better!!! Yeah!!

BC in my opinion is a MUCH better school than Villanova.
