I accepted admission at Wake Forest University, but a couple of days ago, I got a call from a Davidson College admissions officer telling me that the college is going to pull from the waitlist and he wanted to know if Davidson is still my top choice! It was initially (I applied ED), but now I have no idea what to tell him because I love Davidson but I really liked Wake when I went and visited and was getting excited about going there! Does anyone have any thoughts about either of these schools that might help me decide what to tell the admissions office??

If Davidson was your first love, so to speak, and costs are equal, might as well accept the offer, belated though it is--if it is still your real favorite. But if you like the idea of a somewhat larger school, then it's ok to stick with Wake.

Cool...we're practically in the same boat - I decided to go to Wake, too, but am still kind of holding out hope to get off the waitlist at Davidson...

I think you have to go with your gut on this one. Making a connection with Wake and getting used to the notion of going there was the right thing to do, because Davidson gave no guarantees of admission; however, you have to decide whether letting go of that bond that you made is worth it.

Wake Forest is definitely going to be more of a complete experience if you enjoy a little bit larger school...with just as good an academic emphasis and personal touch. You can't pass up ACC basketball....:) Stick w/ Wake...

wake is a nice school.... too bad they dont accept the ACTs
