I got accepted into my MATCH SCHOOL. The tuition deposit for them is DUE on Dec. 1.

My TARGET SCHOOL doesn't tell you if you were accepted or not until Jan-Late Dec WHICH IS NOTABLY AFTER THE DEPOSIT FOR MY MATCH SCHOOL IS DUE.

So what do I do????????

(I don't want to end up waiting all the way until Jan when my match school gives an admission decision and risk them not accepting me and attending NO school. That would be awful).

You send in a deposit now to hold your spot at your match school. It’s one of the costs of the application process. If you decide not to attend later you will either get a refund or (most likely) lose your deposit, depending on school policy.

Sometimes when you send your deposit affects housing options, check the college website.

Check with the school to which you have been accepted as to whether the deposit is recommended or required…for example, the early deposit date may get you preference in housing or registration. However, most schools subscribe to the May 1 date for deposits (except, of course, for those schools with binding ED admissions…)
