Assuming I pass the Entry writing level exam, what English class would you recommend? I’m a psychology major, taking premed prerequisites. Whst English classes were interesting and reasonably challenging but not too hard?

There’s a nifty degree navigator tool on your My UC Davis website.

If you’re looking to take it your first quarter, I’d suggest taking whatever you can get into. The English Composition courses fill up pretty quickly during registration. Also, the best course for you is really subjective. UWP focuses more on reading articles, English 3 covers novels and poetry, and Comparative Literature covers novels of a certain era. There are a few other courses you could look into, but I don’t know much about them.

I took COM 2 and it was really easy and interesting, and didn’t fill up fast. COM 4 classes are cool because they have different themes for modern books. I know someone that took Native American Studies 5 though and hated it.
