HELP!! Where should I go!?

Hey everyone! I was recently admitted to USC as a spring admit, and I honestly have no idea what to do. USC was my number one choice, but I am someone who doesn’t want to wait until August to go to college, let alone next January. Additionally, I don’t want to miss out on the fall freshman experience or football season and sorority rush. I am also worried about how starting in January would impact me academically. Would I be able to graduate on time? This is especially a concern because I am undecided. What are the chances that I would get bumped up to the fall? Should I defer a year? Is USC worth it? Or should I go to Pepperdine where I received a scholarship / Emory which has a great academic reputation, but neither of which I like as much as USC. Any and all advice is appreciated.

I’m a spring admit too! In the majority of cases, being a spring admit does not negatively impact one’s ability to graduate on time at USC, as most students spend that fall semester knocking gen eds out at their local community college (and saving $$$) or studying abroad with one of USC’s study abroad programs for spring admits.

About a dozen kids are able to be bumped up to fall each year, and the likelihood you’ll get bumped depends on how congested your major is, I believe.

You should defer a year if you would rather have that fall freshman experience than graduate with your class.

Whether or not USC is worth it/better than other schools is completely up to you  there are many spring admits out there who are loving their time at USC! And maybe some who aren’t. The decision is very personal.
