HELP! Will UCLA rescind my acceptance-impacted major Communication Studies

Will UCLA rescind my acceptance?
I was accepted for fall 2016 as a communications major with a 4.0
this semester I will recieve a C in a major prep course (Math 10 STATS)
i am expecting to recieve 2 A’s 1 B and 1 C.

Senior year
First semester: 4 A’s
Spring semester: 2 A’s 1 B 1 C

Nah, I don’t think they will rescind your acceptance based on one C. Colleges know that seniors tend to get a case of “senioritis” towards the end of their high school career. You should be fine. If anyone questions the one sub-par semester, you can probably cite a reasonable cause (were you under a lot of stress, sick, any trouble at home?) that explains some of the slide in your grades. But I don’t think that slip is enough for them to rescind. Just work at keeping your grades up until the end of the year.

Wait how did you get accepted as a communications major? We can only enroll in that major after our 1st year at UCLA, right?

@bookmouse thank you for replying! I was just so concerned because I read a lot of posts about people being rescinded due to C’s in major prep courses–especially in heavily impacted majors like communications. You’ve made me feel a lot better! I’m praying all goes well…would be a shame to work so hard for 3 years and for one class to ruin it.
