Plan on majoring in physics or chemistry, I would like to remain in the Northeast. Primarily in NYC area, also like Boston, Philadelphia and D.C a lot. Please help me consider some schools, all help is appreciated.

Good grades and courses but your issue will be the SATs. You need another 200 points.

I can’t really think of a good match in or near NYC except Manhattan College. Stony Brook maybe. Maybe Temple in Philly. Clark in Worcester. Clark is very solid.

If your scores don’t improve perhaps some test optional schools are the way to go.

“NYC area, also like Boston, Philadelphia and D.C”…you should not limit yourself to certain cities. you will miss out on some of the best schools…that may be the perfect fit for you. you are looking for a college to attend for four years not a place you might want to live after college(which could change too)

Do you plan to play baseball for your college? How good are you? Would you be a potential recruit?

@lostaccount I’m okay, not D1 standard or anything. I could definitely manage playing D3. I most likely wouldn’t be recruited though, more likely for me to walk on.

@zobroward I’ll keep that in mind, but living in a small town most of my life makes me want to have a huge change of pace.
