Hi, I’m an out-of-state high school student applying to San Diego State University and I have a few questions regarding the CSUmentor application.
I’ve taken several Dual Enrollment classes in my school for which I have earned both high school and college credit. When I try to add this information to the “College Information” screen tab on the application, it asks for units completed and attempted. What would I put if I’m currently in a Dual Enrollment class this year, and I haven’t technically earned or attempted any credit? I’m not sure if this is even the right place for that information because I’m not going to an actual college for the class, it’s just being taught at my school and I’m getting credit for it, like calculus or an english 101 class I’m taking this year.
Since I’m only applying to San Diego State University and no other schools in California, is it okay that I sent my ACT and SAT scores directly to that school and not through CSUmentor? And also, where on the A-G course do I add physical education classes? Thanks so much!
PE classes are not reported on the CSU application
You can send your SAT/ACT scores directly to SDSU if that is the only CSU you will be applying.
Regarding Dual Enrollment courses, will you get a transcript from the college or will these show up on your HS transcript? If on your HS transcript, I would put them under the appropriate a-g course lists on the application, note that they are AP type classes and under additional information state that they are Dual enrollment courses if there is no drop down for Dual Enrollment. If the courses will be on a college transcript, put them under the college section, put units attempted as # of units for each class. Is there a drop down or option to put "in progress"? Again I would explain in the additional information section that these are dual enrollment courses taught at your HS.
It has been a couple of years since I looked at the CSU application and I never had to deal with dual enrollment. You might want to call admissions at SDSU and ask about the DE courses.
