Help with dropping a course..

Hello there,
I was thinking about dropping one of then three courses due to overload of credits.
Currently I’ve registered for 26 credits.
[ Chemistry I +Lab, Computer Science 111 +Lab, Mathematics 152, Physics II +Lab. These are the courses that I will be taking for sure. [17 credits] ]
However I am not sure about these three: Price Theory 202, Macro-economic analysis I, Statistics for Econ & Buss. [total of 9 credits]

When it comes to a certain major, I am not sure whatsoever. However, I am interested in fields of Mathematics anything else that is related to it [therefore I am counting Actuarial Science as a possible major, though not the only major…]

Enough of small talks, I want to know which of those three courses is the easiest to manage? Since the 17 credits I will be bringing enough of head-aches, I do not want to be spending my whole free time studying any of those three economics courses. Please share your experience on the difficulty level of the course (toughness, whether there is a lot to memorize, etc)

Thank you,
AA

Well, since you didn’t say what college you’re referring to, nobody can tell you the difficulties of these specific courses (although they can guess). But 26 credits sounds like way too many. What is the average number for your school? Usually anywhere between 14-18 is a solid amount. I’d say stick with your original 17, or swap one of them for one of your econ classes if that’s what you’re thinking of majoring in. I can’t quite tell what your second paragraph means.

At the school where my dd goes, they strongly discourage students from registering for more than 18 credits and will now allow freshmen to sign up for more than 18 credits.

Is one of the classes in your list worth 5 credits? Generally the list you wrote would only be worth 16 credits. Chem I in general (no idea about the school where you are) is not bad. Chem II in general is a killer.

Physics I and II are generally the same level of difficulty.

Computer science classes vary in difficulty, so no idea on that one.

I don’t know what Math 152 is. If it is calculus, it is often used as a weed-out course, so expect it to be difficult.

I have no idea about the three courses you listed, but my kids have found statistics to be easy.
