I was just accepted to the Honors College, and I was wondering which is the best dorm for Honors Housing. Something social, but not crazy, and not too far from most activities/classes. And if there are any dorms that are really nasty, I would like to know that too! I would really appreciate any help!!

Congrats on the Honors College! I'm in it and I absolutely love it. Anyways, if you are interested in living on an honors floor with a good location, I would recommend either Mason, Snyder, or Gilchrist. All 3 of these are in absolutely gorgeous areas and aren't too far from classes.

Great!! Thanks for the reply. Those are the ones I was thinking of, but I haven't been to MSU yet (I live in NY) so it's hard to know without having visited! Any particular preference between the three, or anything that could help me decide between those?

Any of the 3 should be fine. If you live in Snyder, you would be in a redone dorm with a brand new awesome cafeteria. If you can't get into Snyder, Mason is also nice. It's just a short walk to the cafeteria. Personally, I live in Mason-Abbot and walking to meals really isn't a problem. It is also close to pretty much everything.

West Circle is a gorgeous area. It is close to the Union, Main Library, and Grand River.
