Help with the art supplemental!

I'm making slides on a CD for a couple colleges, and I was wondering how I might go about doing this. Should I just stick the jpg files on a CD? Or should I load them in a Powerpoint? I'm inexperienced with this heh. Help!

By the way, how "good" do you think I have to be in order to submit an art supplemental?

Remember,

Each school will have guidelines. Many of them want jpegs only - no fancy powerpoint. In addition, they might have guidelines on file sizes and image sizes - so check each college separately.

For my d, we are having to prepare several different presentations, depending on the school's requirements.

Best of Luck !!

Thanks!

Also, I was wondering what colleges meant by "slides" kept to one page. How would I create these slides?

"Slides" used to mean little framed pieces of film that you'd put into a slide projector and see images on a big screen :) "Slides on one page" means a slide holder with pockets where you'd insert your slides.

Nowadays, digital images are more acceptable. Typically powerpoints and other types of presntations should be avoided, and image size should be kept to a certain standard to prevent slow loading/crashes, etc. Do not forget to write your name on the disk with a permanent marker (do not glue on fancy labels because they can render your disk unreadable) and enclose a list of artworks presented. Check your disc on a different computer to make sure the files can be open flawlessly.

If you are sending a potfolio of prints, make sure that each piece of artwork has a title, date, original size, medium, and your name on it. Prints should not be larger than 9X12 in size. Good luck!
