Ohhhhhhhhh that makes so much more sense. Thanks so much!
Sorry for another reply (updating this thread) but I was wondering if I would be able to skip trigonometry if I take pre-calc over the summer? I’m interested in transferring to USC as a sophomore, although I do know that USC is not a UC
@jrohazn I didn’t read all of the comments so I might have missed something, but the way I am interpreting the UC math validation chart, trig does not lead to Calc, or Precalc, for that matter.

Uh… that’s weird… I was given a schematic of how to advance in math for my community college. What math course would I need to take to go into calculus?
At my local community college, both trig and pre-calc are required for Calc 1 & 2 I believe.
For a lesser analytical/applied calc sequence (like UCB Haas allows), neither trig or pre-calc is required at a local CCC.
Sounds like you need to talk with a counselor.
At my CCC, College Algebra was the prereq for Pre-Calc. Trig was offered, but wasn’t UC transferable, and didn’t lead to any advanced math course.
I guess it is different for everyones school, for me to get into calc 1 you need either college algebra AND trig OR just pre calc
