Hey there y'all! I would like to know what my chances for a scholarship would be! I have a 3.075 gpa and recently took the ACT which I got a 22 on without any prep or review with a 9 in the writing. Although, trust me I plan on pulling up that score by at least 8 points. I really would love love love to go to NYU and major in Musical Theatre. so yeah!

It’s really great that you’re motivated and you know what you want to do, but unfortunately you’re going to need a higher GPA. Since you haven’t applied yet, I’m assuming you’re a sophomore or junior? Work your butt of the next year(s) and make sure you show your interest in musical theater by participating in your school plays, and more outside school. If you can show NYU that you are dedicated and passionate about your craft, the GPA won’t matter as much.

I have a similar problem: Low GPA (3.0) and low ACT (29).
Chances of scholarship are thin.

and actually my gpa is a 3.975 I do not have the slightest idea why the 0 is there :O
