Help!

I just discovered that the tax forms and other things for Lehigh were due yesterday! My parents haven't even filed their tax returns yet! I'm crying and practically having a panic attack! Can I submit them late. AHAHAHA!

I already submitted the FAFSA and CSS Profile, btw.

im in the same boat.. i doubt theyll mind my parents havent filed theirs either

You should send what you have and then send the amended tax return once its done. They will mind.

"IMPORTANT DEADLINES

Missing deadlines could make you ineligible for aid. Applicants wishing to be considered for financial aid should file by the deadline noted. Do not wait until you are offered admission to apply for aid."

*Note: Early Decision I candidates must send a copy of 2007 IRS 1040 forms, schedules, and W-2 attachments by November 15, 2008. Early Decision II candidates must send a copy of 2007 IRS 1040 forms, schedules, and W-2 attachments by January 15, 2009.

Note that in Laxmom's reply they are asking for 2007 tax forms, not 2008 tax forms. If this is accurate, your parents have long ago filed their 2007 taxes and you should be able to quickly forward the information to Lehigh with 2008 info to follow as needed.

Regular decision needs to send in the 2008 tax forms by Feb 15 though, so he does need the updated versions. Do it as quickly as possible and mail them, I doubt any deadline would make you immediately not eligible for aid.

Fax them if you can. We called Lehigh in December and asked about the deadlines because our appointment with our accountant wasn't until early March. They said the deadline is the deadline. We managed to move the accountant to early Feb and got the 2008 forms in, but they seemed to be pretty firm about what they wanted and when they wanted it.
