Ok guys, i'm sorry but I'm really stressing out about this. i am transfering for next semester. I have already been accepted to NYU, and I am still waiting to hear from Barnard and Fordham (lincoln center)

If you had to pick between those 3- where would you pick and why????
I will be an english major there. I am also interested in taking some communications/theater/journalism classes.

does anyone know much about CAS or the english program at nyu?

i'm coming from a small liberal arts college - emerson college in boston (also a smaller city) if that helps at all. I would REALLY APPRECIATE any advice. i need to figure this out

well, nyu as a large university probably wouldn't be the best place to transfer into for English, since you usually have large classes. Fordham , Lincoln Center is considered very very good for communications, my bf just graduated from there and now he is really set ofr a career. Fordham has great connections in communications. The former editor of SI was on one of his professors. If you plan to just major in English , Barnard then would definitly be your best choice, but not necessarily for communications.

Good luck with everything, New York City is fabulous (I grew up there) and you'll be able ot take advantage of the opportunities in any field you want to explore.

hey i have a friend who went to emerson. NYU is awesome and has a good international reputation. SInce it's such a big school you might have access to some resources you wouldn't at smaller universities . . . and it has name rec and is good for a lot of subjects . . . but I guess I'm bias cuz i'm applying there for grad school. anyway, good luck!

for an english major, barnard should be your top choice by far. its extremely prestigious, and you get to take classes at columbia and get a columbia degree.
