I applied to IU in November, got in, Direct Admit to Kelley, but at the time, I was just under the minimum GPA for Hutton for a 33 ACT. I was preparing my appeal, but today I got a letter saying I was admitted to Hutton. I assume this was because IU received my 7th semester grades (which put me above the Hutton GPA threshold).
Interestingly enough, I had emailed a Hutton faculty member about the impact of my 7th semester transcript on admission to Hutton, but she said that the school needed to receive the transcript before January 20, otherwise I’d have to appeal. My school didn’t send the transcript until February 1st.
So I guess the point is for future applicants or those who are in a situation like mine, there is no need to appeal for admission to Hutton if your GPA is above the threshold after your first semester of senior year.
