A distant friend of mine lives in connecticut who is a senior with a 2.9 UW GPA. He's currently taking 2 AP classes with mixes of As Bs and Cs throughout his highschool career. EC include Spanish club and helping beautification of school. Problem is his SAT scores are REALLY really low. 1st try: CR 410 Math 420 W 440, 2nd try: CR 400 Math 420 W 370. It's still a mystery why he bombed the test considering he's doing an okay job in his AP classes (but that's whole another story). I send him the link http://www.fairtest.org/optinit.htm for a list of colleges that don't need SAT scores for admission. However, I do think he can fare well if he took a Community College to redeem and raise his grades up and then transfer.

Based on his stats, is CC the only chance he has. He mention that he really doesn't want to go to a CC since he feels he could do better than that. Any feedback and suggestions for him? Preferably in CT? he's thinking of applying to CT central state Uni and Southern CT state uni. I feel that he should just go to CC, but if there's anyone out there that could think of something, let me know. Thanks
