hey everyone, i'm first gonna start with a question. i heard from a friend a student with c's and a gpa in the 2's can still get in.. there not going to take all elite people. her aunt works at uconn and she knows what shes talking about. i have a 2.3 gpa, okay sats and i still think i have a good shot. my ec's are really good and i do community service.. i also wrote a killer essay. remember sats and gpa aren't everything.. i still think i have a shot. plus im going for a less popular major. so everyone posting chances with 3.9 and 4.2 gpas and perfect sat scores. please stop. your getting in. its kinda obvious haha. uconn isn't havard, its not too too difficult to get accepted. thanks.. please leave your thoughts below! :)

i hope u r right but 2.3 is a bit low … 3.2 maybe … probably won’t get into honors college …

There are many factors which go into an admissions decision, and it is not a decision based purely on GPA and standardized test scores. It is a truly holistic approach (at least at the University of Connecticut). Is it possible for you to be admitted? Sure. I would never give absolutes. But it is highly unlikely, unless there is some other compelling part of your application.

Please note that just because your friend’s “aunt works at UConn” that does not mean the information cited is correct. The University of Connecticut system is fairly large, and not all staff work in admissions.
