I'm committing to Nova for sure but I just had a few questions..

Okay so I definitely plan on rushing so should I not join a learning community?

Does Nova seriously live up the the nickname "Villa-no-fun"?

Do girls actually constantly dress nicely?

How likely is it I will be assigned the roommate I select?

and anything else i should know! Pleaseee

definitely join a learning community. you can rush and do anything else. It’s generally a good place to meet new people.

Yes and no. There are ALWAYS parties. But it’s not that great for people who aren’t that interested in partying and getting drunk. They have a movie theater though…

Girls dress well, but not always. It’s college, so if you’re waking up for an 8:30, don’t be surprised to see a few guys and girls in their Pj’s.

if you and your roommate select each other, you’re golden.

Some kids love it here. Some kids absolutely hate it. Try it out and decide.

Rushing is not until second semester. Learning community will not interfere.

It is as fun as you want it to be. If you want to get fall down drunk on a regular basis , you can although I do not recommend it. A soph student died of alcohol poisoning in a dorm in September after a night of partying on Lancaster Avenue.

Girls go to class in t shirts , shorts and Ugg slippers or jeans. Rarely are girls in class wearing dresses.

If you and another have agreed to dorm together you both must notify Res life and you will be assigned together. Contact Residence Life for specifics.

Yeah about that sophomore who died… When you’re out partying, and your “friend” is clearly wasted, don’t let him or her fall asleep by him/herself. Unfortunately, this happens quite a bit here at this university, but I doubt it’s a villanova specific problem.
