hi guys im a incoming freshmen for UCSD warren as chemical engineering major. I passed Cal BC with a 5. and now im taking Math 20A in community college, does the grade for math 20A in community college goes into UCSD's GPA? Can i take pass or no pass? Does this class has to be a letter grade? please help im so desperate

first off i dont know why you are so desperate, calm down.

it transfers as units and will not affect your GPA but u still have to get a C or better depending on your provisional admission. They might let you take it pass or no pass, contact the school

sorry for being so desperate._.
is that mean all the classes taken in community college only taken as units but not letter grade?

well you will get a letter grade but when ucsd reviews it after you pass the class it will show up on ur UCSD transcript as just the class and number of units you took not the grade

so basically it will not be part of UCSD’s GPA.

Is Math 20A at your CCC part of the Calculus sequence for Math, physical science and engineering majors that uses the text “Calculus, Intermediate Transcendentals” 6’th ed. by James Stewart? If so, you are taking the Calculus course that all UC and CSU students majoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Geology and Engineering must take as part of the core requirements for their major. It is my understanding that core requirements in a major have to be taken for a letter grade, no P/NP, and you have to get at least a C in the course to meet the requirements of your major.
