HEOP applicant feeling hopeless right now...

Hey guys.
I’m a senior that has sent out their college applications like everyone else. However, I applied HEOP unlike most.

So far I have gotten two rejections: University of Rochester and another from Union College.

I’m feeling terrible right now. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Here’s my profile:
ACT: 25
SAT: didn’t take
GPA (w): 3.5
EC: hospital volunteer, Ambulance corps.
School Sports: Ski, Soccer, Track.
I honestly feel terrible right now. I’m waiting on decisions from NYU, Columbia, Binghamton, and Stony Brook as of now.
I just wish to pursue my dreams of being a doctor.
Thanks for the read.

I imagine you have a good shot at SUNY. Columbia is very doubtful. The issue is probably your GPA and ECs. HEOPs I know have had higher GPAs and have been very active in their schools and communities. You might also get into NYU but whether they will give you sufficient financial aid is another story!

I think you have a fair chance at Stony Brook and NYU-Columbia and Binghamton you never know with.

I got into Union’s HEOP program

Don’t give up!! You never know what will happen. I recently got into Barnard Heop and I’m waiting on cornell and columbia tomorrow

Goodluck
