hey guys, I’m new to this site and I wanted to ask a couple of questions
I have a bad average and OK SATs and very low income, so I was wondering what kind of grades Cornell HEOP students have? I’m currently a senior at Brooklyn Technical HS, have an 82 average, 1890 old SAT 1310 new SAT, 27 ACT, some community service, 4 years of wrestling
I understand that my average is really low, but I just wanted to know what the numbers are for HEOP students that did get admitted
thanks!
While your SAT looks to be around average for those i’ve heard of accepted to HEOP, your GPA is a little lacking. an 82 converts to about a 2.7-2.8 Unweighted, which is pretty substantially lower than those who I’ve heard of getting in to HEOP. Normally, I hear HEOP GPAs of around 3.3-3.5 range. I don;t think you’ll get in, even within HEOP. But it’s possible.
Ok, what about a 3-2 engineering program with Columbia? I’m thinking of going to Bard College and getting into the Columbia dual engineering program there. Are my chances better if I take that route?
