Here's my plan...

For teacher recommendations, this is ALL I’m bringing:

  1. Teacher Evaluation form from Common Application
  2. List of extracurricular activities
After my teachers fill out the form, I am going to copy it to send it to multiple colleges that I am applying to under the Common Application.
Is this a good plan and am I forgetting anything?
PS, Why do teachers need sealed envelopes?

umm. . .I don't know about your plan, but teachers usually seal the envelopes so that students can't see the letters. For example, a student might have ten different teachers write letters, and pick out the best two.
Furthermore, if the teachers don't seal them, the students can change the letters and no one will know.

The point of sealed envelopes is that you're not supposed to see the recommendation letter. The teacher writes it, makes whatever copies you need, seals them in envelopes and either mails them off or gives them to you/your counselor to mail.

what if you're planning on applying for TONS of scholarships during the school year and most need teacher recs? Wouldn't the teacher get annoyed with having to keep making copies of their reccomendation? It seems like it would just be easier for both parties to have a couple recs on hand to mail off to whatever you need it for.

Just ask them to make 20 copies and put them all in envelopes or something....they can use the school copiers so it shouldn't bother them too much. First day of school I am going to get the common app rec sheet along with rec sheets from schools that don't accept the common app that I am applying to (only a couple canadian institutions). Some schools might have offices that send out tons of envelopes that could work with your teacher to get it done faster..just ask your counselor how it would work and he/she will sort things out worst case.

if they're going to be annoyed by going to the school's copy machine and making 20 or so copies, then maybe they're not the best person to be writing about you.

wait, so if they make 20 compies, what's the use of "forgetting" the 20th copy and send it to the 19 colleges you want?

wow that made like no sense.
I don't know a lot about these sealed envelopes, but
if someone has 20 sealed envelops, why can't that person look at the 20th and reserve the 19th for the colleges they want?

Why are you so desperate to see your recommendations?

In most cases, you don't send them -- your teachers and/or guidance counselors do.

ah crap, well cuz... I don't want some teacher saying stuff about me that I don't want in there lol. Yeah, I need to behave better. lol. Oh well, there's a few teachers I can probly trust with this. =)
