Hey if anyone would like to help....

Im in 10th grade in a Maryland Public School. I have average grades that leave me at around a 3.2 GPA at the end of this year. Now i have sort of slacked off so far in my high school career never really doing what I am capible of. Next year I hope to change that and get strait A's while taking 3 AP classes(im in 1 now). I did the math and that would put my GPA at around 3.6 which in my opinion is pretty good. When colleges are looking at me how will getting two C's as final grades with a d in each of those classes in different semesters look. Ive always heard that Junior year is the most important, but i know this will hurt me a bit. Its not like im trying to get into Harvard or anything, but i was just wondering if this will make me have trouble getting into schools I am looking at.

PS. Schools i am interested in are UMBC and Saint Mary's college maryland

It depends entirely on what you get on the SATs.

ok so if i get a pretty good SAT score then ill be ok?

As long as you keep an upward trend going and do reasonably well on the SATs, I think those schools are entirely realistic for you.
