Just applied ED, so guys what do u think? I am going for elecrical engineering btw!

Are you sure you are on the correct site, UIUC? I ask because your post never actually mentions the university and says you are applying “ED” (early decision) and UIUC does not have ED; it has a non-binding early action program.

If you are asking about UIUC, then likely your chances are very good for admission based on SAT and the 44 IB if that is what you end up getting. Just note that UIUC does not provide need based financial aid to internationals, although it does have some scholarship money, more so in engineering college than others, and if stats are as expected, you probably have decent shot at some (but most awards are only for some part of tuition). Be aware UIUC does not use SAT IIs for admission and those who make admission decisions won’t even see them if you send them.

Hey sorry about that! Yeah i was asking about UIUC and the reason i ask is because i have heard that getting into ENG at UIUC ( especially electrical) is exceptionally competitive. Is it true?

The middle 50% ranges for UIUC engineering overall are high: top 10% to top 2% class rank and 30 - 34 ACT or 1970 - 2190 SAT. For EE the range is a little higher. If you are well within the range (and they would consider you to be with test score and anticipated IB) your chances of admission are usually high.
