<p>Well Im a newbie on the forum… :)</p>

<p>And I will soon be a newbie in DAVIS. I was born and raised in Geneva, switz. and I will be starting a PhD in AgChem @ UCD in September…</p>

<p>Anyway, I found this forum and thought I might just throw in a few posts to get a first flavor of what’s going on in the area?!?</p>

<p>I’ve been there twice within the last 9 months, so I now basically what Davis looks like!! a kinda small town with loads of trees everywhere and a bunch of farms in the surroundings! Even more than in Geneva actually (I wasnt sure this could exist on this side of the Atlantic!! </p>

<p>Well then if anyone feels like writing a few lines about what’s good in Davis and what’s less, that’s cooool.</p>

<p>And also I like doing sports like basketball, tennis, soccer,… Is there somewhere students can play without necesarily joining the major league teams???</p>
