Wow. Amazing campus, great buildings, loads of places to eat and decent dorms. Im pretty sure davis’s campus Pwns all other UC’s pretty bad Only thing I dont like are those Egg Heads, ***?

Hi. You must have been in one of the 1041290784105 tour groups that I have seen around campus lately. Big campus huh? lol

is it hard to find everything?..i dont want to get lost tomorrow lols

i highly sugest you go into a tour confused_junior, you could always wonder around yourself...but i think u would miss a lot

davis sounds cool.

from the photos i've seen it looks really nice.

the visit tomorrow might change my mind to where i go next year. :o

oh yea i'm definitely going on a tour but like finding the arc or the pavillion..is that hard to find?

^ Same question I have. :)

No, the ARC is right next to the Segundo dorms on La Rue. You should be able to find it quite easily.

You can get a campus map online...

just got back from davis and i have to say i didn't really like the campus.

it's really spread out, the farms and the cows were some detractors.

all the buildings were top notch though, and the dorms were very nice; bathrooms really clean and storage space was nice.

people were really friendly.

i just didn't like the overall layout of the college and where it's situated.

Brian, it seems to me like you're a city person.

You would probably fit better in an environment like UC Irvine or UC Riverside.

I liked the cows, horses, etc. It was all very pastoral and relaxing. :)

But I'm pretty flexible with these things... I also enjoy large bustling fast paced cities. Not sure about Irvine since it sounds like an in between. I'll have to see.

It sounds from reading this as though there are farm fields, cows and horses set right in the middle of the UCD campus, lol. For those who don't know you will not find any of this on the main campus but rather within designated areas on the outskirts.

Adding to what collegemom16 said: Yes, the only time I saw animals was on my way leaving Davis. I got lost and ended up near south campus where the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is. That's the only place I saw farm animals, and it's quite a long way from where you'll be attending classes and dorming.

there were cows right across the street of the tercero dorms where i visited one of my friends who goes there.

the smell wasn't so good.

The Brian no one is making you go to UCD if you don't like it why don't you go over to the UCI forums please. I have not gone over there to post my d's opinion of UCI (was not at all favorable) so why must you persist here? Please be nice and stop now. Thanks.

Oh, I didn't tour Tercero, I guess that's why. I looked at Segundo.

Erm... anyone know where I can find a printable map of the campus?

Amazing how the conversation on a campus of 30,000 students less than 100 bovine animals is often times the only complaint that people can come up with.

The vast majorities of students really don't encounter any cows on the day to day life. Now a better topic of conversation is all those bikes or our London double decker buses!

And if you do happen to see the diary facility look in the other direction and you have the brand new Aggie Stadium for football! Anyone check out that facilitiy yet?

Unfortunately for those people who like to find something to complain about, there is a plan in place (LRDP began in 2003) and currently being prepared to move and expand the dairy facility. It will be relocated over in the Russell Ranch area which is purposely away from the main area of campus.

The football stadium is wonderful!
