Hi. (Awkward Introduction)

Hi, I am a hopeful for the AFA. I’m a junior and I’m planning to go for the Summer Seminar. Um, I had some questions and I was wondering if anyone here could answer them.

About the seminar, will they take the SAT or PSAT (or both) into consideration?

Do you know how the Academy will handle the New SAT scores?

Could you give me a rough estimate (using percentages or fractions, whatever) about what is important for a candidate?

And if these were mentioned in another post, could you please direct me to the post?

Thank you for your time.

They base it primarily on PSAT since that's a test almost all juniors take.

Probably the same way they handle the past ones--the higher your score, the better your chances, especially when compared to your peers. There's no absolute min nor absolute "you're in" score. Remember, it's the "whole person."

LOTS of time spent on this in earlier threads. Spend some time reading it all... then get back to us. You'll learn a lot.
