So junior year is closing close to an end, I have exactly one week left before school ends. My grades are seriously suffering this year, I got a 3.3 GPA last semester and Im afraid that I will get the same this semester. My finals will make or break my 4 B's that I have right now, but realistically I don't think I can raise all of them to an A, probably a 3.5 for this semester is the best I can hope for. I received straight As for all of freshman and sophomore year, so my junior year is definitely on the down side grade-wise. SO, I was wondering, is there anything else I can to "make up" for my grades? Right now my last resort is my SATs, which I plan to retake in the fall. There anything anything I can do? :[

Summer classes?

Well, if you’re applying to top schools, you might be teetering on the edge of the deep.

But I was in about the same boat as you last year, except I was trying for a B in Pre-Calculus. Well, long story short, it didn’t happen (I got a C). I ended up having 4 C’s in my high school career, but I’m going to a pretty good school called Valparaiso University. If you want to hear more about it, PM me.

If you’ve got some EC’s about which you’re passionate, talk about them in the free response sections of your applications where appropriate. As for the SAT, if you think you need to boost your scores, then get a book of practice tests (They’re on Amazon.com, etc.) and study.
