Sure. Use it to help being the process of getting a BS. The process of getting the degree itself will help you get a low-level job, but most seeking a AA or AS do it as a prerequisite to a BA or BS. Not that most succeed, but that is the norm.
You can sometimes get (non-medical) laboratory technician jobs with it, I know from my experience (and as a search of Indeed.com shows).
