High ACT, low GPA

29 ACT, 2.6 GPA unweighted. Didn't give half a **** in high school yet I still got a high ACT score. Learned my lesson and I give between 2-3 ****s now.
I'll go to any school not in the south or midwest..30,000 under a year including room & board would be cool.
I want to major in Poli Sci if that narrows it down anymore.
And obviously I want a school that looks at ACT more than GPA if one exists..

One option is to go to a community college, excel there, and then transfer to your state flagship university that may not admit you out of high school with a 2.6 GPA.

Almost every school looks at your GPA more than ACTs.

What state are you in? Check out the public Us there. They should be in your price range, and chances are that one of them will let you in. Because of your GPA that admission might be probationary, but if you keep your act together, you will get out of that status in a semester or two.
