<p>Your gpa is not bad for top 50 schools.(except ivies) But I think you need to raise your ACT score a little bit. You should get around 30 if you want to go to decent colleges. You also need ECs, essays, recs, etc. Tell me where you're considering now.</p>

<p>on the other hand, i am extremely certain i will have excellent essays, ECs are decent, and i can pull up a few good recs if i must.</p>
<p>You have a shot at most colleges in the country except for probably liberal arts and national schools ranked in the top 30.</p>
<p>To have a shot at higher ranked schools, try retaking the ACt and also taking the SAT. Some students do better on the SAT than the ACt and vice versa. Also study for the tests. Buy and use a review book or take a course.</p>
<p>i didnt do well on the SAT and i dont think i am going to retake it. I got a perfect essay on it tho-however the rest was far from perfect.</p>
