high gpa/low sat - PSU and UI chances

<p>My top two schools are Penn State and IU (I'm out of state for both) - I will graduate with five AP classes and a 4.0+ weighted gpa (3.8 unweighted). BUT, I'm afraid my SAT score is going to be a problem. My first scores were 630 math, 510 cr, and 560 writing. I'm taking them again next week and hope for an increase - but who knows? </p>

<p>What do you think my chances are at PSU or Indiana? And does anyone have any other suggestions for large state schools.</p>

<p>Penn State places weight on 2/3 GPA and 1/3 SAT. Your SAT is not terrible. I know a girl (she was in-state), who had a 4.0 and 1040 and she got in. However, she had to do the six-week summer program. You have a solid shot.</p>
