Just wondering my chances at these schools with these stats.

My GPA is a 3.4 unweighted and a 3.7 weighted, although my school does weighting horribly, I have taken 5 AP's thus far and will graduate taking 10. I have a 25 on my ACTs. I have above average extra curriculars and my recommendations are awesome.

Schools:
Penn State
Michigan State
University of Delaware
Indiana University
SUNY Binghamton (In-State)

Because your GPA is at the "bottom" of those averages AND because you're OOS (out of state) for amost all of those schools. That's how.

But don't give up. You're applying to a fair amount; there's a chance you might get into one of your 4 reaches. And a good essay and recommendations will help too.

I agree with you about the GPA aspect, however, I have challenged myself by taking 10 AP classes, surely they will give me reconsideration for my lower GPA because of that. My weighted average does not show anything because at my school if one takes a single honors class or AP class they automatically gain .3 to their unweighted average. Also, I have spoken to reps from Penn State, and Indiana and they have told me that they treat In State and OOS the same. How do you think I will fair if I get my ACT score up to a 28?

I'm just thinking that at these big state schools your scores pretty much define who you are and your scores aren't up to par. But a high ACT would help a lot, and 28 would be great. Also, did you take AP tests? Definitely submit those scores if they're 3 or above.

Your right that 10 APs is a lot and a very challenging schedule. If they notice that schedule and take that into account, then you're in at a couple more of your schools. If not...?

Remember,
I have a good idea of my chances at these schools based on my grades and the middle 50% admitted, I would like to know other peoples opinions. Theres a difference between refusing negative comments and simply not understanding something. I can certainly take the comments I just wasn't clear on them.

South, Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
