Hi everyone,

So my dad is totally freaking me out about getting into Haas and all that jazz. He's worried that if i totally bomb my APs (especially for Calc BC), it'll hurt my chances at getting into Haas.

Thus, my question is, does high school grades and AP scores received in high school affect the application process/entrance into Haas? I know that they look at grades, essay, and extracurriculars, but it only applies to what you do in college...right?

Thanks!

No, I doubt that they consider your AP scores. By the time that you apply to Haas, your AP tests will have seemed like a lifetime ago. That said, try to get a 5 on your BC test because then you wont have to take Math 16A/B.

what’s the difference between Math 1A/Math 1B/ Math 16A/ Math 16B?
I read somewhere that Math 1A/B are a lot harder than 16A/B. is that true?

considering that i am taking AP calculus BC now, would it look bad during the admission process for haas if I take the easy way out by taking 16A/B instead of Math 1A/B?

thanks!
