High School at Berkeley

Does an internship require any outside work? Like the reports? I’ve never done an internship so I’m not really sure how these things work.

Don’t do 7C, the lab might suck up too much time. Best bet would be probably 53/54 (I would do 54).

Do labs run overtime?

Ok, you know what, this sounds kind of lame, but could you just model what you think my schedule should be? Internship must be 8 hours solid, but scheduled in any reasonable time (so like not 11AM - 7 AM). What I’m thinking of is two 2 hr math classes in the morning, then the internship from like 11 PM - 7PM.

Look, there have been like 10 people in this thread telling you that your schedule is unreasonable. The answer is not going to change no matter how many times you ask. At this point it just seems like you are fishing for what you want to hear.

No matter how smart you are, an 8 hour/day internship paired with even one Berkeley summer class is going to make your summer completely miserable. You are grossly underestimating the difficulty of Berkeley classes and the harshness of curves compared to your high school/community college. And although you sound like you are capable of getting As in these classes at Berkeley, rushing it will only lead to you starting off your fall semester with a horrible GPA and a lot of regrets.

or come, take the schedule you posted, and prove you really are that much more capable than the 10000 or so undergrads here now have taken those courses

Ok guys, chill, especially rider730. i asking more teachers, and i’m hearing similar things, so I am reconsidering taking the classes. I might just go for the community college route for summer classes. One questions though,flutterfly_28, I don’t understand your last sentence. Do you mean a bad gpa in the fall of college or high school, since i’m a junior… I’m not sure how these grades, even if i get A’s like you mentioned, will hurt my gpa…?

College transcripts follow you.

Also, rider730 was not saying anything unreasonable – no need for him to “chill.” The schedule you proposed it pretty difficult for most Berkeley students, even during their second year. If you can in fact pull off that schedule, it would be seriously impressive. Fact of the matter is, not that many people are cut out for that sort of academic rigor, and you’re most likely to fail.
