^I know, it’s a pain. For some schools I’m going to have to pay 10 dollars to upload my art portfolio to the schools website, and that’s on top of a 60 dollars application.

I’m hoping to get some App fees waived though, through FA and going to portfolio days to meet up with college reps.

I’m in Costa Rica, so highschool starts in 7th grade and ends in 11th. So I’m sort of Class of 2012, but if I was in the US I would be Class of 13
I’ll be applying to film schools this year…

I’ve thought about Math Level 2. I know the curve is way nice, and I’ve gone through Pre-Calc and Trig and I’m starting Calc AB on Khan Academy. My naturally progressive brain just thought Math Level 1 should come first. Haha.

I’m taking the Sat Physics subject test for the first time on June 2nd, anyone know its difficulty as compared to the Barrons and PR review books?

Whaaat?? The Great Gatsby is going to be a movie? I’m so watching that.

I know how everyone feels. I just calculated how much apps and score report sending will cost: about $900. In my school, you are only eligible for fee waivers if you receive government assistance, which I don’t (sigh). Gotta start saving up.

Thanks for the subject test advice! I feel a little better. I was getting really discouraged. I will keep working at it, though. Wish me luck!

Really? Then I guess I can only apply to 4 -_-. My parents can only pay for 2 or 3, so that puts me at 6 or 7 I really hope I get a job because otherwise, I’m screwed.

The problem is, I can’t stand for very long periods of time. I have screws in my feet. Most jobs for teenagers require hours of standing. My only option is like Kumon or something, but the Kumon in my area isn’t hiring.

Of course our school manages to pair finals with the week of the SAT Subject tests -__-. I’ve just been using the time to try and integrate some of the Math II material and my pre-calc final if that even helps.

I am also on the list of people who are extremely excited for the Great Gatsby movie.

I agree. About 80% of the graduating class ends up going to the local state schools (Kutztown, Millversville, LVC, etc.) for elementary education or psychology. It doesn’t help that the average SAT score for a student attending a 4-year college is 1480/2400. One senior this year made it into Wharton, the first Ivy at least five years, and everybody is raving over her “super genius” status. And NO, the school

On the other hand, I am very disappointed over my May SAT. I got a 1940. I missed the 2000 mark by 60 -__-. On the bright side, its the third highest single sitting score in my class.

Don’t talk to me about jobs… I already applied billions of times… got “accepted” to 2, declined 1 to accept the other, and then get told they don’t need me… been really sad over that, guess i can start again
