I’m fortunate enough to not take any AP classes next year.

I’ll have my IB English, Spanish, Biology, and History exams next year, as well as AP Calc and AP English.

Our school requires us to take the AP tests if we take the course, which means gov, econ macro, stat, calc BC and phys c for me, ugh.

Last exam tomorrow, woo!

School also passed out schedules for next year, sans teacher names on them. My schedule didn’t change since my GC showed it to me (& I know all my teaches), but it’s always delightful to compare schedules, even with people you’ve never talked to or people you hate. Speaking of, this one girl I don’t get along with is obviously in my A&P class, along with this one kid who basically borderline sexually harasses me every day. The teacher is a hardass so maybe she’ll throw the kid out because he never does any work.

Seniors 2013, so close! Only two more hours left.

I’ve been driving to school since April

I’ll have AP lit & AP economics & gov’t

I’ll be taking AP BC Calc, AP Physics C E+M, AP Chem, AP Psych, self study AP German

Ill be driving to school thank the lord and ill be taking ap lang calc ab physics spanish macro and bio but to be honest i didnt even care about the ap exams this year so i dont thinking ill be caring next yr lol

Just out of curiosity, would more tech/engineering based schools (see: MIT) look too deeply into the fact that I’ve taken non-honors/AP english all four years of high school? I have all honors/AP credits in science and nearly all (weird story with that) honors/AP credits in math, so I hope it wouldn’t hurt too much.

AP Calc BC, Literature, Stats, Macro/Micro Econ, Us/Comp Gov’t, Psychology, Spanish Language. The only thing that makes it bad is that I’m scared about maybe the Lit and the Spanish test for sure especially because I skipped Spanish 3 and the teacher doesn’t teach well. Those tests are essential, they make me finish foreign language and literature for life :D

I am officially scared. Disclaimer: I took the late test so none of this applies to me, but I am genuinely worried.

2012 AP US History results: 11.8%=5; 21.4%=4; 21.7%=3; 26.5%=2; 18.6%=1. These may change slightly as late exams are scored.

Many who chose Q.2 on westward expansion did not know chronology well enough to furnish evidence from the stated time period (1800-1850).

Q.2 (westward exp) had the lowest scores of the US History essays. 53% of students who opted for this Q earned less than 3 of 9 points.

AP US History DBQ results=similar to prior years: not bad or great overall. ~25% of students earned 6,7,8,9 points (out of 9).

@fastneutrino I go to a school in a rural area with a grade size of ~150. 1 student has ever gone to MIT. He took our highest level calc class as a freshman and self studied rigorous college courses the rest of the three years. So there is an idea of the types of upper level classes MIT likes to see, but that doesn’t mean they are necessary.

The best schools anyone has gotten into were Brown and UChicago. Though 7 years ago. And 7 years ago UChicago basically had a 100% acceptance rate -_-

This kid was a freak. He got accepted into harvard as well with very few ecs. Basically just got by on academics. Maybe the only person I have ever met that I would call a genius. 36 ACT too of course and first place in a state math competition. Our math team had a great year.

Next year I’m taking:
AP Calculus AB & BC
AP English Literature
AP Chemistry
AP Government
H Yearbook
H Art 3
*I’ll switch out of Art if I don’t end up with the teacher I want or the person I signed up because of.

And the only school I really want to go to is UNC. It let in around 20 seniors last year, so I’m hoping it’s as generous this fall as it was last.

^wow my school might not even put 20 in the local community college lol

The people in my town go to the local community college. I don’t know how they do it! I’m getting out of this town. The guys suck, the roads suck, and too many old people.

Hopefully I’ll end up somewhere I’ll be happy… That’s all that matters now.

A small town feels like a cage when you’ve been there your whole life. Can’t wait for out of state college<3

You say we’re both little people and you like it that way, but in time I’m going to put this body to shame (grow old) wear a suit like my old man pack up all my things and get my a-- out of town!

When is it okay to make a class of 2017 thread on a college’s page? I really want to make one, but then again a lot of people are still in school and I don’t want to come across as obsessive. When is it okay to make one? And have you seen any of them yet on any college pages?
