<p>My state flagship school has a bunch of short answers, but that’s it ^_^</p>

<p>So I started the common apps, and I founded that most school on my list wasn’t even on their. Hopefully my future teachers won’t drop super load of homeworks.</p>

<p>why is applying for colleges so complicated?? every college should just have one basic step by step page.</p>
<p>Folks, how’s your shortlist? </p>
<p>Currently I have 6 on the Common App and 4 on the UC app. No others.</p>

<p>Mine are Harvard (lol, yeah right; okay, I feel that way about every Ivy I’m applying too), Princeton (yeah right), Yale (dream on), Brown (yeah right), Cornell (maybe, but a long shot), Brandeis (eh, maybe), NYU (maybe), Duke for ED (I’m not counting on it. It’s kind of like an Ivy.), UMass Boston and UMass Dartmouth (much more realistic), and Pace (EA; again, very realistic). </p>
<p>I also have Penn State and a CUNY (not sure which one), but they don’t use the common app. (when I searched them nothing came up). Both are safeties</p>
<p>As you can see, I like to be sure. Lol. I’m a bit paranoid that I won’t get in anywhere.</p>
<p>Hey I’m applying to pace too! Lol. That’s been my favorite so far. It’s my #1</p>
<p>If we both end up there, that’d be so cool!!! I really do love what I’ve seen so far. Have you looked at the dorms on the website? Flat screen TVs, cable, and AC all come with them. That’s pretty awesome.</p>

Common: Northwestern, Stanford (may not do), U. Of michagan, Valpariso and Notre Dame(may not do).</p>
<p>Regular (so much easier and better): Purdue <3, Indiana tech, Berkeley, Ball State. Wow I’m pretty much based in Indiana. Heard gas is $5 in Cali…</p>
<p>Common:
Caltech, Harvey Mudd, Princeton, Harvard, Reed, UChicago</p>
<p>Not Common:
University of WA, CU: Boulder, CalPoly: SLO, MIT</p>
<p>All of my schools are on the Common App except Tulane, UIUC, and UMN.</p>
<p>All my schools are on there except two state schools. I would just apply right now to get it out of the way (the app is OVERLY simple), but I want to get my test scores up so I can get a scholarship.</p>
<p>I’m sooooo happpppy. The only school that’s not on the Common App is my last resort safety school. It’s such an easy app though. Otherwise, all my schools are on the Common App. They also all have additional essays (: UGHHH</p>
<p>The ACT is literally two days after school starts for me. So much win; I’m set for not having homework and stuff to keep me from studying. </p>
<p>One of my friends from out of state already has her Common App done with letters of recommendation. All she has to do are her essays. I’m so jealous.</p>
<p>After being out of town this whole week, I just started the commonapp! And now I’ve lost motivation, haha.</p>
<p>Only non common app school is Tulane and I can just fill out the UCA and use the same essay for it.</p>
<p>I really lost my “I am so gonna do this!” on common apps but now I’m like… “whatever.”
Meanwhile some of the regular apps are looking rather easy and simple compare to the common apps. Oh well.</p>
<p>The only school i really care to apply to is UNC. Other than that, I’ll apply to Wake Forest for the heck of it since it’s also on the Common App, and UNCW because I’m hoping I can get a pretty generous amount of merit aid (and it’s also on the Common App.)</p>
<p>Other than that, I have a question. I ordered a new TI-84 Plus Silver Edition online today. But I noticed that some kids at school had newer looking versions than the one I saw on the TI website and the one I previously had. I also looked on other websites, and they all looked the same, so I’m wondering if I must be mistaken about the “newer looking” version? I won’t get it in the mail for a few days, but it’s bugging me now that I think about it.</p>

<p>Also, lost all motivation to do the Common App. I’m going to have to wait until the school year starts until I can do a lot of the academic crap. Also ugh, my freshman year transcript is a mess, riddled with W’s and all that.</p>
<p>But so far on my list I have UMass Dartmouth, Simmons, Northeastern, Salve Regina, and SUNY Binghamton, but i’m really not feeling the SUNY love anymore.</p>
