High School Class of 2013

yeah…lol, not just yet though

doubtful I’ll get in. not if I’m competing with people like those on CC

^Haha that’s what I think about too. I go on those “Decisions” threads and I’m like… what. You got rejected? With THAT?

Ah, i have Lang summer homework (something about columnists, I haven’t looked at it yet) and Ap bio hw (reading a chapter and a small assignment and a test on the first day :|)

I don’t think I’ll apply to many ivies, right now my list of colleges is like: caltech, mit, harvard, stanford, columbia, maybe yale and UW. I’ll probably get rejected at everywhere and just go to UW, but UW is a pretty good school so i don’t mind :P

^I agree with you on the UW one. Even though it’s a state, public school, it is really good.
My list looks something like this:

Reach:
JHU
Yale

Match/Fit:
None… -_-

Safety:
OU (parents forced me)
UW

Fail list…

I love Chemistry! Good thing I’m re-taking it :stuck_out_tongue: I hate algebra, which I’m also re-taking.
Eff the sophomore slump.

I feel like admitting this gives me the label of a total slacker nobody compared to other CCers. I swear that’s not the case!

When are y’all taking the SAT?

Already took it. Got a 1990 (650/690/650/10)… and I hate that score. It’s not that it’s a terrible score or anything (it’s in the 93rd percentile), but I’m a perfectionist.

So I took the ACT a month ago. And I got a 33 :)

Taking it in December and January

arghhh…college has become a swear word. Anyway…as time wears on, I’m thinking more and more that I’ll apply to a lot of LACs and stay in New England…or go to Tulane. love me some NOLA.

edit: not just LACs, just more than I’d considered previously.

oh man, I have to take/study for the psat/sat but studying for math competitions is much more interesting :expressionless:
damn you collegeboard

I’m only applying to one or two schools on my half of the US (I’m in Oregon).

Safeties:
University of Oregon
Southern Oregon (or) Evergreen (Maybe…I’ve heard they’re both stoner schools, which is my high school, and I’m trying to get away from the West Coast)

Matches:
SUNY New Paltz
Columbia College Chicago (Top choice)

Reaches:
Northwestern University
New York University

Also, are you guys going to apply for any summer programs this year ( i know it’s a bit early :P)

^I wouldn’t know any to apply to haha…

Definitely applying to some summer programs, although it’s likely far different than most of yours are.

 • University of Michigan’s MPulse Musical Theatre Workshop
 • Broadway Theatre Project
 • Oklahoma City University’s Summer Music Theatre Intensive
 • University of the Arts Pre-College Musical Theatre Program

Heyy guys.
I have a random question.
But when do you guys plan on taking the SAT?
Like what month, I’m thinking twice this year, maybe once early Senior year.
But I’m not sure.

^ I am planning to take the SAT in January and later in March, if needed.

I’ll only be taking the SAT in March-ish to verify my (hopefully) NMSF status. Otherwise, I will never take it again.

i’m taking the sat in october…two more months! wish me luck! so my dream is to become a doctor and get into a bs/md program. let’s see how far that goes… i really hope i don’t have to take the sat again…it’s so hard to study so much for it. but i’m afrais i might have to because my score isn’t going anywhere.

Idk when I’m taking the sat and I don’t have time to do summer programs because I’m too busy playing baseball! Idk if I’m gonna even apply anywhere depending on the scholarships I get! I’d love to go to an ivy but I don’t want to give up baseball!

I’ll probably take it sometime in the winter so that if I want to improve my score, I can try to take it again in the spring.

I think I’ll have to take it in october/november because RSI requires it and TASP might too…

^ I would take it earlier, but I don’t get my PSAT scores until mid December, and would like to see where I would need to improve for January’s SAT.
