IS there a national Chinese exam? Fat chance!

I’m really curious about the French exam. How do you sign up? Does your teacher sign you up, or you sign up as you do to sign up the SAT?

I’m really curious about the French exam. How do you sign up? Does your teacher sign you up, or you sign up as you do to sign up the SAT?

for the national french exam your teacher signs you up and you have to sign a little thing that says you’re okay with paying the $2 or whatever it costs, but if you take french you could ask your teacher if you want to take it.

@ golfcrew I’m pretty sure that I was tied for either third or fourth nationally with another person from my school. My friend ranked like #1 in our state, #2 nationally and got this really AMAZING glass globe with their name engraved in it. I do remember that odd Lady Gaga question! haha How did you do on the NFE?

Just finished reading And Then There Were None. It is so good! Thank you guys for introducing the book. Please recommend more!! :)

@ deerbri, I got 12th nationally

@Shmulza, I really wanted to take French, but my school only offers Spanish and Japanese. I tried Japanese in 7th grade, and it was quite hard. Spanish is a little bland to me, but its really my only option.

Our promotion was yesterday, and I really enjoyed it! Im officially a 9th grader, Im so excited!!!

starkali, People always tell me to learn spanish because it’s more useful in this country. So it’s okay to learn spanish. and jananese could be so cool. I kind of wish I could learn Jananess. But I’m sure it’s hard. My parents actually tried to talk to me into Spanish two years ago. I resisted.

I don’t know about promotion in our school. I hope I’ll be promoted. Congrates to you starkali. :)

So how old are you guys?I’m nearly 15 and I’m considered old for my grade.

@Golf, I’ll be 14 this July! When is your birthday? Will you be 15 before you start 9th grade? I know plently of people who turned 15 yrs. during their 8th grade year, but then again, I also know people who turned 12 during their 8th grade year. Everyones different, it really just depends on the person. Did you get held back? Or did you just start school late?

I’m turning 15 in august days before school starts. M parents held me back so it would be easier for golf because they do it my grade year not age.

I’m turning fifteen in october.
I was not held back, just born after the cut off date of August 30th.
Most kids in our grade will turn fifteen between September-March 2012
This summer (jun-aug 2011) some will turn 14 and some will turn 15 so it really just depends

wait there’s a cutoff date???

wait for private schools too?

I turned 12 not too long ago. My school/parents decided to move me up when I was in 2nd grade because when she was easy, I was bored and made trouble. Anyway, it feels weird occasionally, but for the most part, I’m more used to be with people my grade than with those my age. Every time I do something “bad” in school, (like drawing or talking in classes) my parents would blame on my age. :o

I’ll be 14 in July. @Shmluza, read A Murder is Announced! It’s amazing!!

@Preppy, thank you. I tried to borrow it but our library doesn’t have it. I will buy it though with my tutor money.
Tomorrow I’ll go to a big field trip with my class!! to NY city!

My class went to D.C for our trip!

No field trips for the New Jersey suburbs kids. D:
I went to this really cool college information thing last night, with Harvard, Stanford, G-town, Duke, and Penn. Message me for info.

why do you guys have college information stuff while in eighth grade?

I was playing RuneScape when I was 13
