High School Class of 2017

I can roll my tongue, cross my eyes, AND wiggle one eyebrow at the same time. And I do a mean Alvin the Chipmunk impression. I’m very talented.

Hello! Fellow class of 2017 member here. I decided to stop lurking and finally join in. I go to a fairly large public school in Minnesota! I’m talented in math and science mainly but nothing is really difficult for me in middle school :).

What do you guys do in your free time? Other than stalk CC, of course ;)

Sg12909, I enjoy playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, rollerblading, reading, and baking with my family! What do you do in your free time?

Besides spending countless hours on the internet, I love reading books, cooking, and watching movies.

come on guys, we can do better than page 4…

^says something meaningful and witty

Don’t understand how 8th graders have nothing better to do with their time than be on a college forum…

@Elainajulia
If I tried to rollerblade, I’d probably break a bone xD So I stick to relatively safe activities like swimming, piano, and writing.
@unijayhawk
Because we’re awesome and exceptions to the stereotypical junior high student.

Oh, it’s not too hard. You have to learn it just like you have to learn to play the piano!
@unijayhawk @sg12909 we are definitely exceptions.

So have you guys taken your standardized tests yet?

@sg
Do you get standardized tests in OHS? If so, how?

I’ve taken English and math. I am taking science on May 17th!

Both of the tests I have taken have been extremely easy. The math test was a little tedious though. Everyone in our grade takes a test with only Algebra 1/2 information on it and I’m in geometry, so it took a little bit of reviewing to remember what I had learned a year ago.

Lol, this thread needs to be revived from the 4th page. Bump!

Standardized tests in middle school were a joke.
At least in my area.

@Secoja8:

You have to realize these kids are taking AP Calc as freshman. Many of these people are Mathcounts National Finalists. Every test for them is joke! JK, but these people are insane!

I wish I had known about summer classes before high school…I would be in AP Calc as well.
But I still have it next year, which is pretty remarkable in my parts.

Oh well, IDK if I’ll ever do anymore summer classes. [I tried to do Geometry over the summer, but was sadly rejected. I did get credit for it though, so I guess it was okay, but I had to do Algebra II and Geometry at the same time!

When did you do Algebra II and Geometry? Just wondering. Have you taken Pre-Cal yet?

Hey guys. : ) Glad I came across this page, it feels reassuring to know I’m not the only 17’er on here.

I’m only in geometry (as a current 8th grader). I am taking algebra 2 as a freshman. I feel like I’m behind…
