High School Class of 2017

I’m happy to say I haven’t let this site affect how I judge myself as a student.

reviving the thread, seems as if Yakisoba and I are the only 17ers left lol

wonder what happened.

pretty sure sk99 got banned or hates this site now after he got really mad (at me, on one of your threads) and started using the f, s, and b words multiple times. I’m not sure about elainajulia, hopefully she will come back

Hey, I’m a '17er too!
How are you all today.

hey nohbdy, what’s up dude? I’m fine, I also live in Arizona!

Georgia over here.

i used to live in georgia, I moved in 2011, which region are you in?

Hey, I live in Georgia! I’m in the class of '17 too. I mainly get on this site to read everything, but never actually comment…but I am here

hey zdunc! How are you and which part of Georgia are you from? I lived in Acworth, it’s in the north west, near Marietta and Kennesaw. I miss it so much!

I live about an hour south of Atlanta; it’s an ok area to live in. I’m just not really a southern person, I prefer the north.

did you move from elsewhere to Atlanta?

Hey everyone! I’m alive

I’ve been really busy and haven’t had time to come on the site too often, but I’ll be on more frequently now!!

Help on scheduling for 2014-2015 sophmore year… should I drop electives and take AP Bio with chemistry H. so I can take the sat bio subject next next year? Im aiming for top colleges so I want to be careful picking cources.

Hey Elaina, nice to see you again! What have you been doing?

@tabmas, if there’s anything I’ve learned from this site, it is to take the most rigorous courses possible, I feel that you should take it, and yes you will be able to take the SAT2 next year.

@apandia thx so much. I was leaning towards the AP bio. Choice for next year, but wasnt quite sure. I have a meeting with my guidance counselor tomm. May I ask the courses you intend to take next year, if thats not too personal? Thx again.

You’re welcome, and it’s not too personal at all :).

IB Spanish HL
AP Bio
Pre-IB English 2 H
Pre-IB US History H
AP Calc AB (Pre-Calc over summer)
AP Stats

I’m going to die next year lol.

EDIT: I’m a freshman as well

What does PRE-IB stand for? I dont think I’ve seen them in my school. Also, for the summer classes, do you ask you counselor for availability. Which state do you live and go to school in?

IB stands for International Baccalaureate, it’s a program not many schools have. It has international standards, and they are all over the world. So basically we are learning a curriculum the world uses and it’s known for being a very rigorous course path. The main IB program takes place during the junior and senior years, Pre-IB is taken by freshman and sophomores and helps prepare for the huge change in work ethic that IB engenders. Here’s a link that may help you a bit more: [Diploma Programme at a glance](Diploma Programme (DP) - International Baccalaureate®) . It requires various different things such as mandatory volunteer hours, an extended essay, and more. Therefore, the diploma is highly acclaimed and gives a student a bit more of a competitive edge. I think almost every state in the US has an IB school, but if you’re interested, there isn’t a real plethora of them.

As far as summer classes go, your guidance counselor provides the best information on that, ask he/she for availability. I asked my GC and she said the schedule was feasible and come class-forming time, she’ll be able to make it happen. My GC also said I could do an online Pre-Calc class, do one at my school over the summer, or at a local CC.

I live in Arizona, but I really don’t feel comfortable disclosing my school. Which state are you in? :)

Thankyou. I live in New York
